Freedom Beach in Phuket Affected by Illegal Land Usage and Environmental Destruction

While on Koh Pha Ngan, three Israeli tourists lost their Tourist Visas after exhibiting inappropriate behavior.

A massive operation was launched to investigate illegal land usage in the protected Freedom Beach forest area. This action followed complaints from locals that outsiders had encroached upon and restricted access to traditionally used land.

On Koh Pha Ngan, a District Committee was established to review the behavior of foreign nationals.

After a review, it was determined that the behavior of the three Israeli tourists could potentially disrupt public peace and security. As a result, their Visas were revoked.
